Already compatible with the first version of CVSS, Criston Precision Vulnerability Management becomes a market leader in adopting the latest version – v2 - of this vulnerabilities scoring system known as CVSS “Common Vulnerability Scoring System “.

As a global standard, CVSS helps ranking IT threats and risks using a common language together with a neutral rating system. Launched in the US in 2005 and supported by market leaders such as Cisco, Oracle or NIST, it is today a globally and unanimously recognised standard and a must in the IT security sector.

Boosted by the success of CVSS version 1, the members of the DVSS-SIG industry group, made of individuals from Software Companies, R&D, Institutions, Government Agencies and IT users, have upgraded the CVSS standard and introduced a new version. CVSS v2 can evaluate the level of vulnerability threats of an infrastructure much quicker using a scoring system now made richer by two years of real-life practice.

Criston Precision VM is a non-intrusive vulnerability management solution able to detect vulnerabilities, to rank them by criticalities in compliance with the specifications of CVSS version 2 – using a 0 to 10 scoring system – and to deploy relevant corrective solutions.
